Martie Trio | Feat. Claudio Dauelsberg & Marco Lobo.
With Martie on vocals, Claudio Dauelsberg on piano and Marco Lobo on percussion, the trio presents the repertory of ‘Quem te Viu’ album: a set of Brazilian Popular Music classics along with reinterpretations such as Lennon’s and McCartney’s ‘BlackBird’. Martie also brings her experimentation’s mixing looping effects with Brazilian regional rhythms. An unique fusion of Brazilian sonority and European atmosphere, bringing together the best of both classical and popular references, traditional to contemporary music.
Solo And Other Projects.
Whether performing solo with piano, vocals and experimental looping effects or teamed up with other great musical partners, Martie is known for her interpretations of sambas, bossa novas, baião, forró, indigenous songs and other Brazilian musical roots.
Martie is available for bookings as a solo artist (Piano, Vocals & Effects), As a guest solo artist for large ensembles or in any number of hybrid settings.
Special Projects.
Cultural influences from the Northeast regions of Brazil have had special impact on Martie‘s artistry. This especially due to her research on the cultural connections between Brazil and the Netherlands, with a prominence in Pernambuco region occupied by Dutch in the colonial period.
Martie is currently developing a project highlighting this connection and the legacy it left us.
